Hospital Employees

IDAHO SAFE HAVEN ACT

The Act provides a safe alternative for parents who might otherwise abandon their baby.  According to the Act, custodial parents may surrender their unwanted newborns not older than 30 days without fear of prosecution.  The identity of the parent shall be kept confidential.

SAFE HAVENS INCLUDE:

  • Licensed hospitals

  • Fire stations

  • Licensed physicians and staff working at offices and clinics

  • Advanced practice professional nurses

  • Licensed physician’s assistants

  • First responders, EMTs and paramedics

THE CHILD MUST BE 30 DAYS OR YOUNGER.

NESTING PLACE

Extending Christ-centered support to the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and safety of mother and child. Nesting Place Maternity Home  includes life-affirming values, parenting skills and realistic goal setting. Mothers receive education on healthy bonding with and care for their babies.
